Feasting: Easter Weekend

It feels strange to me to post on gorgeous food when it's Good Friday.  But I do feel fine showing you these Kiebitzeier, peewit eggs.  But these are not eggs I harvested from a nest in the wild.  No, this being Germany, these eggs are made of marzipan, with a hard candy shell.  We bought them at a convenience store, and I expected them to be quite mundane.  But, upon closer inspection, they were beautiful.
