Daring Bakers: Tiramisu

This was lovely. Not only was the finished product delicious but I got to learn how to make savoiardi biscuits (ladyfingers) and mascarpone cheese. Those two elements, along with the zabaglione and whipped cream, made for a luscious treat.

The February 2010 Daring Bakers’ challenge was hosted by Aparna of My Diverse Kitchen and Deeba of Passionate About Baking. They chose Tiramisu as the challenge for the month. Their challenge recipe is based on recipes from The Washington Post, Cordon Bleu at Home and Baking Obsession.

I wanted to make a molded tiramisu but, alas, my freezer is the size of, well, two ice-cube trays and a bag of frozen peas. So, instead, we ate goblets of the heavenly stuff instead.
